OrthoNeuro Wound Care Specialist Now Treating Patients at the OhioHealth Critical Limb Center
Dr. Ralph Napolitano, Jr., OrthoNeuro Podiatrist and Wound Care Specialist, began treating patients at Riverside Methodist Hospital’s Critical Limb Center on November 19, 2020.
The OhioHealth Center for Critical Limb Care is a multidisciplinary wound care center for patients with lower extremity wounds in the legs and feet where patients are evaluated and treated by experts in wound care, heart and vascular disease, and hyperbaric medicine. The Center specializes in hard-to-heal wounds, care for patients with diabetes, and wounds that threaten limb loss.
“As director of the Center for Critical Limb Care at Riverside Methodist Hospital, we are pleased to announce the addition of Dr Ralph Napolitano who brings the unique combination of expertise in advanced wound care, state-of-the-art lower extremity surgery, and compassion for patients,” said Dr. Mitch Silver.
The Critical Limb Center welcomes referrals for patients who have:
- Been told they need an amputation and would like a second opinion
- Wound care that is not progressing in a timely fashion
- Osteomyelitis, or infection of the bone
- Challenging vascular symptoms or conditions
- Received a procedure for lower extremity circulation that has failed
- Diabetes with a wound
- Never had a circulation test
