Dr. Rohl has over 20 years of experience treating spine problems.  He has advanced training in the most minimally invasive techniques for the treatment of herniated discs and stenosis, deformity, and other spinal conditions. His philosophy is that surgery is sometimes necessary, but many times conservative treatment will help the patient’s underlying condition and overall quality of life. He feels we need to look at all factors to determine the most appropriate treatment course.

Dr. Rohl was born in western New York but later moved to central Ohio and graduated from Buckeye Valley High School. He stayed in central Ohio and attended Otterbein College in Westerville where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences. He attended medical school at the Ohio University of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed both his general internship and orthopedic surgery residency at Meridia South Pointe Hospital near Cleveland, Ohio. His interest in spinal conditions brought him back to Columbus, Ohio where he completed a Spinal Fellowship at OrthoNeuro. His fellowship involved multi-disciplinary treatment of spinal conditions including conservative as well as surgical intervention. After his fellowship, he returned to Cleveland, Ohio where he was in private practice for four years. He was a trainer of orthopedic residents and medical students while in Cleveland. He decided to return home to central Ohio and joined OrthoNeuro in July of 2005.

Dr. Rohl limits his practice to spinal reconstructive surgery including revision surgery, minimally invasive surgery, and degenerative conditions. He works closely with his orthopedic and neurosurgical colleagues as well as the other members of the OrthoNeuro multi-disciplinary

Dr. Rohl and his PA were awesome! Both were very easy to talk to and very thorough in explaining all the steps in this process. I like that he doesn’t try to talk anyone into surgery even though it might be his strong recommendation. He really wants what is best for his patients.
