Call Center Agent

Location: Westerville or Remote

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for answering incoming calls and scheduling, rescheduling and canceling patient appointments.

Job Duties:

  • Greets patients/callers on the phone

  • Directing calls to the proper locations

  • Schedules patients with all Ortho Neuro physicians

  • Schedules assigned electronic referrals; referral tracking and follow-up

  • Maintain patient information and data integrity

  • Communicate with Medical Secretaries regarding add-ons patients and/or issues

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of one year of experience in scheduling preferred but not required

    Front Desk

    Job Summary:

    This position is responsible for being the liaison between OrthoNeuro and the patient while at the same time creating and maintaining a friendly, pleasant environment at the front desk area. This position is also responsible for the efficient operation of the front desk area and obtaining current information from patients.

    Job Duties:

    • Greet patients as they arrive at the office
    • Guide patients through the OrthoNeuro registration/check in process
    • Create patient charts and schedule appointments for new walk-in patients
    • Ensure that accurate insurance and demographic information is added/updated into the computer system
    • Ensure required documents are accurate and included in patient charts for appointment
    • Ensure patient outcomes information is collected before the patient leaves
    • Collect required co-pays, co-insurances, and/or patient balances for patients seen each day
    • Post patient balances due
    • Balance collected funds at the end of the day and email reconciliation sheet to the Billing department
    • Communicate to physicians pertinent information affecting their clinic and patients
    • Other duties as assigned

    Medical Assistant

    Job Summary:

    Responsible for assisting physicians in the treatment of and consultation with patients in the office.

    Job Duties:

    • Comply with all processes to meet government reporting requirements
    • Perform blood draws and EKGs
    • Remove or reapply dressings, remove sutures, perform injections, taking vitals, and all other routine procedures
    • Follow established sterilization processes

    Medical Secretary

    Job Summary:

    This position is responsible for providing administrative support to physicians while ensuring patient needs are met.

    Job Duties:

    • Review physician schedules in advance to ensure the appointments meet the physicians’ needs
    • Complete patient scheduling as needed
    • Schedule physician surgeries and provide surgical and procedural information and documents to appropriate hospitals
    • Obtain necessary authorizations for both surgery and ancillary services
    • Schedule ancillary services for the patient
    • Follow up with patients who are missing referral documentation or authorization for their visit and communicate status to the appropriate area
    • Respond to patient calls and requests in the required timeframes
    • Communicate to physicians pertinent information affecting their clinic and patients
    • Respond to legal received as appropriate including but not limited to deposition requests and subpoenas
    • Ensure prescriptions are processed for patients in a timely manner

    Orthopedic Technician

    Job Summary  

    This position is responsible for applying and removing casts of patients as instructed by the physicians.  It also serves as a dual role of Medical Assistant when not providing casting services.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

    Application of casts to patients that have fractures

    • Removal of casts as directed as directed by the physicians
    • Reduction of fractures as directed by the physicians
    • Remove or reapply dressings, remove sutures, perform injections, taking vitals, and all other routine procedures

      Physician Assistant

      Job Summary  

      OrthoNeuro is seeking a Physician Assistant for Dr. Ryan Palmer in the Dublin, Pickerington, New Albany, and Grove City areas. Dr. Palmer is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon who specializes in adult hip and knee total joint reconstruction, complex revision, and arthroscopy. As an OrthoNeuro Physician Assistant reporting directly to Dr. Palmer, you will participate in all aspects of patient care and will be expected to perform duties described below:

      Job Duties:

      • Managing patients daily in the clinic
      • First Assist to Dr. Palmer in surgery
      • Participate in hospital rounding
      • Order physical therapy, MRI, injections as necessary
      • Handle clinical phone calls and after hours call
      • Complete medication requests
      • Complete documentation of care and services provided

      Job Requirements:

      • Ohio license and prescriptive (DEA) license required
      • Previous experience preferred, ortho background is ideal

        Physical Therapist

        Job Summary  

        This position is responsible for providing physical therapy services to patients.

          Rehab Front Desk

          Job Summary  

          This position is the liaison between OrthoNeuro and patients receiving rehab services.  It is responsible for the efficient operation of the front desk area and ensuring current information and patient financial responsibility is obtained from the patient. 

          Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

          • Greet patient as they arrive and exit the office
          • Maintain charts in both the clinic and the EHR
          • Answer the phone and take messages with clarity
          • Guide the patient through the registration and scheduling process while maintaining updated demographic information in the EMR and EHR
          • Collect copays and account balances with accurate posting of these payments in the EMR
          • Complete the insurance verification, and authorization process in order to communicate the information to the patient and the clinicians
          • Dissemination of accurate and timely communication with the physicians, patients, insurance providers, etc.
          • Driving between OrthoNeuro facilities or to business-related areas
          • Other duties as assigned

            Valid Ohio Driver’s license or valid driver’s license from another state and ability to secure an Ohio Driver’s License within 30 days of assuming this job.  Must maintain in force at all times personal automobile liability insurance coverage at levels acceptable to the company.

              X-Ray Technologist

              Job Summary  

              This position is responsible for performing radiographic procedures, apply principles of radiation protection and evaluate radiographs for technical quality, exercise professional judgment in the performance of procedures, and provide patient care essential to the radiology procedures. This position will also function as a Medical Assistant when not performing radiographic services.

              Essential Duties and Responsibilities
