Dr. Nicholas Cheney Receives Award of Fellow from the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics
Congratulations to Dr. Nicholas Cheney who was awarded the designation Award of Fellow by the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics on October 23, 2020.
This award is given to members of the AOAO who have served the Academy, their hospital/practice, community and/or certifying board. Fellow members receive points for their experience in leadership positions within this Academy as well as other member organizations. They may also receive points for their published research as well as for their role in osteopathic orthopedic education.
Dr. Cheney completed both his internship and orthopedic residency at Doctor’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Following his residency, he completed a foot and ankle fellowship with the Orthopaedic Associates of Michigan in Grand Rapids, Michigan. His practice emphasis includes ankle arthroplasty, heel pain, bunions, hammertoes, fractures, and foot/ankle sport injuries. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Cheney currently serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, a Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, and a Foot & Ankle Clinical Reviewer for Orthopedics, a peer-reviewed journal covering all aspects of adult and pediatric orthopedic surgery and treatment.
